A #CommunityFirst Approach to Water Stewardship

1:00 PM EST

As demand for bottled water continues to grow and the expectations of communities and consumers change, so too must the processes used to source new spring water resources.. That was the catalyst for Nestlé Waters’ “Community First” Spring Water Siting Framework. Through this approach, Nestlé Waters seeks to become a better partner and neighbor in the communities where it operates across the United States and Canada. This, in turn, should help the company secure more sustainable sources of water, and create shared value with the communities in which they operate.

In this hour-long webcast, attendees will learn why corporate water stewardship — or indeed, the stewardship of any natural resource — is inextricably linked to community engagement and partnership. They’ll also hear more about how a commitment to continuous learning and improvement plays a critical role in building stronger relationships based on trust, transparency and accountability.

Discussion topics will include:

  • Details about the Nestlé Waters Siting Framework, how it has been used in specific communities and how others who develop natural resources can use it
  • 5 guiding principles that drove the creation of the community first approach
  • Key learnings derived from the development of the new framework, including local and NGO consultations
