Raphaëlle Archambeaud-Sicot
Group Sustainable Development Director
L'Occitane
After studying international marketing at L’OCCITANE en Provence, today she is the Group’s Sustainable Development Director, a strategic yet down-to-earth position which enables her to lead the company’s employees and partners toward ever greater respect for nature and people.
Curious and sensitive, Raphaëlle Archambeaud-Sicot developed an early fascination with the life sciences, before becoming passionate about business. While specialising in marketing, she discovered that she liked to challenge her own ideas, work as part of a team, test things and be in the heat of the action. She has never lost this way of thinking. Her first experience in the world of skin care was at La Roche Posay, after she graduated, as an assistant project manager focusing on cosmetics for sensitive skin.
She joined L’OCCITANE en Provence in May 2008, won over by the creativity, authenticity and humility of a brand that achieves a lot with few words. She took her first foray into the world of international marketing as Product Manager, before becoming Face Care Group Manager in 2013 and then International Skincare Category Director in 2016. In this role, she was in charge of the strategy and the launches for all professional categories (face, body, hair). Alongside her main missions, she still manages to spearhead projects with a cause: solidarity-focused products to raise funds for the Foundation, a 100% eco-designed range for men, a special campaign to celebrate Louis Braille’s birthday... While she could have climbed to even greater heights in the field of marketing, she decided to return to a more scientific and earthy side of her personality, embracing something very dear to her heart, the L’OCCITANE en Provence brand’s commitment. This move led her to take up her role as Group Sustainable Development Director in 2018. She is currently defining the Group’s three main priorities – Biodiversity, Climate, and Diversity and Inclusion – and is setting targets for each of them in consultation with the relevant teams.
