Prior to joining BusinessGreen, Michael worked as a freelancer for the Press Association, NME and others before moving on to greener pastures at the Environment Media Group, where he worked for several years as a senior reporter and news editor covering waste, recycling and air pollution.

Originally from Milton Keynes, Michael is an NCTJ-qualified journalist with a degree in contemporary history from the University of Sussex.
