Melina Kennedy is Vice President – Product Compliance and Regulatory Affairs at Cummins Inc. Under Kennedy’s leadership, the Product Compliance and Regulatory Affairs organization focuses on strengthening Cummins’ collaboration with the environmental agencies that set emissions regulations and certification processes to ensure continued compliance with increasingly challenging global emissions regulations. Prior to this role, Melina was General Manager of the Pickup Truck Business at Cummins and also led the Rail and Defense Businesses at Cummins.
Before Cummins, Melina was a partner at the law firm of Baker & Daniels, where she managed the firm’s energy, environment and climate change practice group. Prior to joining Baker & Daniels, Melina served as director of economic development and deputy mayor for Indianapolis Mayor Bart Peterson.
Melina received her B.A. in Environmental Studies and History (1991), her M.S. in Environmental Science (1995) and her J.D. from Indiana University, Bloomington (1995).
She lives with her husband, Tim Broecker, in Indianapolis. She enjoys watching her 14-year-old twins’ sporting events and is also active in her community as President of the Capital Improvement Board, a member of the 2021 NBA All Star Committee and on the Impact 100 Board of Directors.
